Package: climniche 0.3.6

climniche: Niche Relative Climate Exposure

Quantifies projected climate exposure relative to a species' current realised climatic niche. Occurrence records, range maps, and binary or continuous species distribution model outputs can define the current reference. The package reports Climatic Displacement, Niche Distance Shift, Climatic Reconfiguration and Niche Boundary Exceedance for single projections, ordered time series and climate model ensembles. A two-objective Pareto screening compares one climatic quantity with an ecological or management criterion without collapsing them into a weighted score. Cell-level terms decompose change in squared niche distance among fitted climate variables.
