climniche: Climate Exposure Relative to a Species' Climatic Niche

Quantifies climate exposure by comparing projected conditions with the climates associated with a species' current distribution. Location weights define an empirical climatic niche reference, summarised by a weighted centre and radial boundary. The analysis measures local climatic change, movement towards or away from the reference centre, climatic reconfiguration, and distance beyond the boundary. Occurrence records, range maps, and binary or continuous species distribution model outputs can define location weights. Matrix and spatial workflows provide location-level results, distribution-wide summaries, climatic variable contributions and comparisons across future periods.
